Ooty - Wow Experience in Ooty

Cool Cool Ooty, Wow what a experience we had in Ooty, it was rush to Ooty, no body had the knowledge that i was taking them to Ooty, only the day before i reached kovai , i informed my Sister and parents about my plan.

We started early in the next day morning, i had been to kovai before for small period in the span of three years. I have not gone to Ooty even once then, just because i wanted to go to Ooty only by the 150 year old Jungle Queen (Steam engine train).

it was my eager to go to Ooty through the Jungle Queen we started early by 4.00 am in the morning from Sulur, reached Thottabetta by 5.30, unfortunately my ticket for first class A/c was not confirmed and fortunately, since we were there at 5.30, we got seat in un-reserved compartment. We occupied the window seats.

Jungle Queen started by 7.10 in the morning after the Nilgiris reached thottabetta. it was a long journey 4.30 hrs in total. Jungle queen stopped in many location to fill up the water. It was very good experience travelling in that train, Wow you will enjoy the nature a lot and the train, Since it is a steam engive whenever the train enters a cave you have to close the windows else you will wet for sometime with the heat generated from the Steam engine.

You must have heard lot about the Jungle Queen, She travels steap in the hills, with the unique clip like track, which it holds to climp through the Hill.

"STR"oke - Letters to remember

Recently i got a mail from my friend regarding Stroke and how you can identify it, indeed an important thing to remember.

As i was reading that mail i remembered my uncle who suddently fell down unconsious and every boby around him thought that it was because of High blood pressure, After taking him to hospital only they found that it was stroke, do you know the result of this delay ? One side of his body is not functioning, now he is under going pysiotherapy treatment, still he was not able to act like before, indeed very sad incident which shook the entire family.

This incident made me putting the mail in this blog, hope it will be usefull to everybody who comes across my blog.

Following is the mail

STROKE:

Remember
The 1st Three Letters...
S.T.R.

My friend sent this to me and encouraged me to post it and spread the word. I agree. If everyone can remember something this simple, we could save some folks. Seriously.. Please read:

STROKE IDENTIFICATION:
During a BBQ, a friend stumbled and took a little fall - she assured everyone that she was fine (they offered to call paramedics) and just tripped over a brick because of her new shoes. They got her cleaned up and got her a new plate of food - while she appeared a bit shaken up, Ingrid went about enjoying herself the rest of the evening. Ingrid's husband called later telling everyone that his wife had been taken
to the hospital - (at 6:00 PM Ingrid passed away.) She had suffered a stroke
at the BBQ. Had they known how to identify the signs of a stroke,
perhaps Ingrid would be with us today. Some don't die. They end up in a
helpless, hopeless condition instead.

It only takes a minute to read this..
A neurologist says that if he can get to a stroke victim within 3 hours he can totally reverse the effects of a stroke...totally. He said the trick was getting a stroke recognized, diagnosed, and then getting the patient medically cared for within 3 hours, which is tough.

RECOGNIZING A STROKE
Thank God for the sense to remember the "3" steps, STR.
Read and Learn! Sometimes symptoms of a stroke are difficult to identify. Unfortunately, the lack of awareness spells disaster. The stroke victim may suffer severe brain damage when people nearby fail to recognize the symptoms of a stroke.

Now doctors say a bystander can recognize a stroke
by asking three simple questions:

S * Ask the individual to SMILE.

T * Ask the person to TALK to SPEAK A SIMPLE SENTENCE (Coherently) (I.e. . . It is sunny out today)

R * Ask him or her to RAISE BOTH ARMS.

NOTE:
Another 'sign' of a stroke is this: Ask the person to 'stick' out their tongue. If the tongue is 'crooked', if it goes to one side or the other that is also an indication of a stroke. If he or she has trouble with ANY ONE of these tasks, call the ambulance immediately !! And describe the symptoms to the dispatcher.

A cardiologist says if everyone who gets this e-mail sends it to 10 persons ; You can bet that at least one life will be saved.
